Wasted Paris was founded in 2012 by Johann Liebel and Xiang Fang Ye — two friends connected by a shared passion for fashion, skateboarding, photography and the raw energy of 90s music movements like Britpop, Shoegazing and Indie Rock.
What started in a garage printing t-shirts became one of the most authentic independent streetwear brands in Europe.
The 90s counterculture that shaped everything
Wasted Paris doesn’t exist without the 90s. That decade was a turning point — when underground music scenes, skate videos, zines and DIY culture collided and created something that the mainstream couldn’t control. Bands like Sonic Youth, Ride and Slowdive weren’t just making music — they were building an attitude. An attitude that said: do it yourself, stay true, ignore the noise.
